Industry giants American Airlines and AMR Corporation had a dilemma. Their broad aviation experience qualified them to provide highly trained personnel to the industry through their people-leasing division, AMR Airline Services. However, once their trainees put on the uniform of another airline, AMR’s involvement became invisible. To remedy that, I conceived, wrote and designed this interactive brochure that employed transparent overlays like those once found in encyclopedias and science books. The reader lifts the overlay to expose the inside of a jet liner, the ticket counter, baggage handling, and cargo operations, revealing AMR personnel at work behind the scenes.
